A Milwaukee software and technology solutions company is among Forbes’ 500 Best Startup Employers for 2025.

Neostella ranked 317th and was the only Wisconsin business to make the list. Founded in 2019, Neostella, 325 E. Chicago St., offers a variety of services for businesses including legal solutions, talent solutions, a workflow management application and custom automation services for development, consulting, staffing and other business needs, according to the company website.

Neostella also made Forbes’ list of best startups in 2023 and 2024. According to the company website, Neostella has offices in Chicago, Colombia and Mexico, along with its Milwaukee headquarters. It has around 300 employees.

Last month, Neostella’s Neodeluxe software was named a 2025 Best Software Award winner by software marketplace G2. Neodeluxe, which uses automation strategies for legal case management, earned recognition on G2’s Best Legal Software Products and Rookies of the Year lists.

To determine this year’s list, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to identify and assess 3,000 privately held U.S. companies. To be considered, startups were required to have more than 50 employees, have been founded between 2015 and 2022, and be an independent company rather than a spinoff of a larger corporation. Each company was evaluated in the areas of reputation, employee satisfaction and growth.

Four other Wisconsin companies recently made the top 100 on Forbes’ 2025 lists of America’s Best Large Employers and America’s Best Midsize Employers: Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, Kwik Trip, 4imprint and Green Bay Packaging.
