Attempted to Sell Ukrainian Space Secrets and Linked Up with Russia? The Dark Secrets of Pavlo Tanasyuk’s Projects

StopCor journalists have conducted an investigation revealing troubling details about the activities of Ukrainian space entrepreneur Pavlo Tanasyuk. This businessman, who positions himself as the founder of Spacebit, has long attracted attention with his ambitious plans in the international space technology market. However, it has now been revealed that behind his projects lie not only financial manipulation but also possible connections with the aggressor state — Russia.

Pavlo Tanasyuk, who currently resides in the United Kingdom, attempted to raise millions of dollars for the “Ukrainian-British mission to the Moon”. The first launch was supposed to take place in 2019, but not only did the project fail to launch on time, it has also not been realized after several delays. Now, investors and participants are left with the question: where did their money go?

Selling Technical Documents

Following the investigation, StopCor journalists discovered that Tanasyuk had attempted to sell technical documentation related to Ukrainian rockets, including the “Zenit” rocket, which is part of the Zenit-M space rocket complex. This became known through an insider who confirmed that Tanasyuk had been actively searching for buyers for these secret blueprints.

An anonymous insider shared details about how Tanasyuk attempted to sell the “Zenit” rocket documents. The insider claimed that the businessman had repeatedly mentioned the existence of blueprints and technical documentation for the rocket, which would allow someone to assemble their own rocket carrier. These documents were likely obtained under the table from “KB Yuzhnoye,” the main developer of the Zenit rocket.

Tanasyuk also tried to sell these documents to potential buyers in the Middle East, particularly in Oman. However, the deal did not materialize there. His next step was to look for buyers in Russia, which raises alarms, considering the military and political connections between Russia and Ukrainian rocket technologies.

Possible Connections with Russia

It was revealed that after failing to find buyers elsewhere, Tanasyuk turned to Russia. The “Zenit” rocket had been used in joint projects with Russia since the early 2000s, and Russian entities were well-acquainted with this technology. Tanasyuk was likely attempting to strike deals with Russian partners to supply technical documentation. Furthermore, some of Tanasyuk’s partners at Spacebit reportedly have ties to Russian authorities and criminal groups, which deepens concerns about the transparency of these operations.

Russian Partners in the Team

As the investigation continued, journalists discovered that among the employees of Tanasyuk’s company Spacebit were several Russians. One of them, Pavel Pogodin, a co-founder of several companies, has close connections with the Kremlin. Pogodin has also been repeatedly spotted at events organized by business associations that support the Russian government.

Additionally, another Russian partner of Spacebit, Viktor Prediger, was found to be well-known in Russia as a performer of prison songs under the pseudonym Viktor Tyumensky. This discovery further corroborates the suspicion that Tanasyuk’s company may be linked to Russian interests.

International Financial Scandal and Ties to Russian Business

Another interesting aspect is Tanasyuk’s involvement in the “Sabai Property” project, which focuses on investments in resort real estate. This project gained attention due to the participation of Russian oligarchs who invest in foreign real estate to hide their assets from sanctions. Tanasyuk is listed as an advisor on blockchain technologies on the project’s website.

Recently, it was revealed that several foreign investors have filed lawsuits in Thailand demanding the return of $55 million due to developers’ failure to meet their obligations.

Criminal Investigations

It is important to note that Pavlo Tanasyuk’s activities have attracted the attention of law enforcement. A criminal case has been opened against him in Ukraine for extorting large sums of money under the guise of his space projects. Moreover, there have been reports of threats to the lives and health of individuals who refused to pay.

Furthermore, journalists have discovered that the Estonian company “Mak Holding,” which holds a stake in Spacebit, is under close scrutiny by law enforcement. The company is involved in a criminal case by the National Police of Ukraine related to fraud and the acquisition of property through fraudulent schemes.

StopCor continues to monitor the developments in this case. Requests have already been sent to NASA and SpaceX to determine whether these companies have any partnership relations with Tanasyuk and his company Spacebit. Responses are expected soon, and all new details will be published on the organization’s channels.
