MassBay Marketing and Communications Office Recognized at NCMPR Conference with Five Awards

MassBay Community College’s Marketing and Communications Office were recently honored by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) at the District 1 Conference in Boston, MA, with five Medallion Awards. Medallion Awards are awarded to NCMPR members in multiple categories, highlighting the “best of” in marketing, communications, and design.

 

MassBay’s Medallion Awards included;

–      Gold, Digital Advertisement (single or series), showcasing the “No such word as CAN’T” digital ad series

–      Gold, Logo Wear, featuring the MassBay Buccaneer Crocs Charm

–      Silver, Communication Success Story, highlighting MassBay’s EMS Program integrating Nero’s Law

–      Bronze, Fundraising Campaign, showcasing Liz Cooper Runs the Boston Marathon to Support Student Scholarships

–      Bronze, Promotional Video – Long Form, highlighting the STEM Starter Academy at MassBay

Our team is high performing, always striving for new ways to promote our college and support our students in their higher education journey.”

 

The Marketing & Communications team at MassBay is comprised of Solomon, Associate Director of Public Relations Liz Cooper, Marketing Project Manager Deni Budd, Web Developer Wendy Walsh, and Graphic Designer Nate Principato.

 

The NCMPR District 1 conference centered around a series of workshops and breakout sessions to improve innovation and creativity focused on marketing, public relations, media relations, graphic design, website design, and other marketing and communication roles for two-year college professionals.

 

Associate Director of Public Relations Liz Cooper served as co-chair of the District 1 conference, which included keynote addresses from Brittany Zahoruiko, Senior Manager of Communications from Boston Beer, Dr. Imari Paris Jefferies, Executive Director of Embrace Boston, The Castle Group Vice President Dyland Hackley, and WBZ Radio’s Matt Shearer.

 

Each year, NCMPR hosts regional conferences in the fall for its seven districts and a national conference in the spring. District 1 includes MassBay, along with other two-year community and technical colleges from Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Quebec, and the United Kingdom.
